What happended to my comment? Anyway I had cribbed about the lack of efficiency that results from outdated, cumbersome paper work even where it is easily possible to cut paper work. Our Police Records are maintained separately in each district/state etc, so if a criminal decides to work in Mumbai after being in Police Records in Chennai, the Police will verify him as innocent (in their records he is innocent) in Mumbai. If we maintained a centralized Data, where all records were stored, this won't happen...Maybe it is already being done, but I don't think so.

you are bang on target, some thing similar takes place in courts, once a verdict is passed........ that judgment is stored and circulated in all the regional languages.............. all this happens on paper........

That is a well written and well thought out post.
A paper less office will be wonderful!

In case of engineering drawings, it is difficult to find out the mistakes on the computer screen. Definitely hard copy is required to verify the drawing. If paper wastage has to be avoided, then one has to invest in computer interfaced projectors so as to verify the drawing on a larger screen.

Hi sir, thanks for stopping by !!!

computer interfaced projectors are a costly affair........... may be a cheaper projectors might help the cause...............

True........Lots of paper wastage......But the fact is that Digital technology will never replace paper....
  • Sachin Sawant · 1 year ago
    hi Kunal,

100% replacement may be difficult but, yes we can and have the necessary know-how to achieve a paperless office, where in the usage of paper is not as ubiquitous as it is now......as far as my knowledge goes there are many company's which are trying to achieve it........ to name a few....... Microsoft, EDS et al...........

    Bonjour Sachin,

Thanks to visit my blog. As to praying and Middle Ages, I have been in India, years ago. Considering all this, I limited my saying to Western countries.
