did you walked on the ladder in the picture shown above. ? why did they pay that guy in cliff hanger ? you guys would have done it just for the adrenalin rush !!!!!!
the rains and the greens and the mist around the ghats have always been breath taking.
Oh ya we did it........... the same reaction ( are you kidding me ! ) was shown by all the newbee's as well............ moreover in the picture it shows only one actually there are in all 2 ladder............ Adrenalin rush is one of the reason , the truth is we love trekking .............
and you guys went one at time ?
.trekking is something different. one only walks and climbs and not hangs.
you bet, i would have enjoyed it myself.
Thanks for the complement ........ Sinhgarh / Sinhagad fort is very easy when you compare it to Ratangad or Torna fort........... Its such a easy trek that people go for jogging there everyday......... : )
Initially we lost of our way and every trekker amongst us became a navigator "Dude this must be the right way" and thereby we had almost 14 routes to climb up.(just kidding)
You know what we use to say to speed up our novice friend, We use to say dat the leopards must be out der in the forest waitng for twilight to pounce on us.
Something for the readers.....
Sachin is a very good trekker, I didn't find a single moment where he was in loss of steam or his legs were giving up(thats an internal joke)if given a chance he would have liked to climb ratangad and kalsubai in a sinlge day.
More comments to come after the second part..
hehehe.......... leopards .............gosh.
I guess Ajay wont be too amused reading the joke........... hehehe......... isn't ?? :)
Please tell us a easier route to reach Ratangad. We are a group of 25 people [includes male & females].
We have decided to hire a bus for this trip during which we will cover Ratangad only [1 day].
We will be starting @ 600 hrs from Pune [after completing the night shift] and hope to reach there, cover the site, enoy it and return back home or Start from Ratangad by 4.30 - 5.00 pm. We are not sure whether we are supposed to take/carry food and water along with us to this site.
If you can give us some tips and alert us of "Not to Do Things", that would be great.
We have just started this and are not much aware of the sites or locations near Pune.
Your suggestions will be of Great help to us.
Regards<
Vk.
If you want to make it in one day then i guess you guys should start early in the morning something like 0100 - 0200 hrs, then only it will be possible for u to see the fort and enjoy at the top otherwise it would be to hectic.
The best way is to climb up from the ladder side and climb down from Kalyan darwaja........ if u want u can even get a guide for around Rs 150-200
if you need any more info just give me a call : ) ( To get my no. just send me a mail )
Thanks for stopping by !!!

Please advices is it safe to go on bikes to Ratangad, is there parking space for the bikes & how long will it take to reach. At what time should we start from pune so that we can start the trek early in the morning & reach the peak by afternoon. We are planning for a 2 day trip.
Thanks,
Som
Bike would be gr8 fun.......... but then are u read to drive for 4 - 41/2 hr ??.......... Trekking is never risky ... its the trekker who is ;-) ........... so if u take necessary precaution the trek will be a gr8 experience for u guys. parking is available near the temple.
If you are planning for a 2 day trek then start around 6:30 - 7:00 am in the morning (assuming that you are starting from pune)
